**Maintenance Engineer - Head of Technical Operations

Description:**

Are you an experienced Engineer and you want to contribute to animal health in a very hands-on and concrete way? This is your opportunity to join our Dutch production site in Lelystad!

As Head of Technical Operations you will provide the technical support and management activities needed to make sure that uninterrupted and optimal operations run through production equipment and plant utilities. You will take care of the maintenance activities in order to minimize breakdowns and quality problems and increase asset productivity. You will also be the main linking pin with the other engineers of the plant.

In this role you have the chance to enjoy being part of a small team, where you interact with everybody on site and you have the freedom to be innovative in your way of working but you can also participate to international projects and take part to truly global working groups.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Timely perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all equipment on the site for uninterrupted operation and ongoing compliance
  • Investigation and elimination of root-causes of errors and failures to make the operation more robust
  • Create, implement and monitor the annual long-term CAPEX plan, implementing plant investment projects and personnel ideas; Perform asset management
  • Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of direct reports, for demonstrating ‘safe behavior’ and maintaining the work permit system (height, heat and enclosed spaces) including LOTOTO procedure
  • Interact with external parties, to arrange maintenance or changes, and cooperate with Procurement department to negotiate pricing
  • Responsible for ensuring GMP compliance of equipment and utilities. Active participation in GoTrack modules like deviations investigations, changes, CAPA etc.
  • Support production (including training operators to changes in equipment); Assure technical training and development of the personnel of the technical department

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Master degree in Engineering (MBO / HBO level)
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent command of the English and Dutch language
  • Experience with biological processes/pharmaceutical industry
  • Previous experience in leading projects
  • Experience in Process control (M&R, Meet en regeltechniek); Mechanical engineering (WTB, werktuigbouw), Cleaning and sterilization processes, Electrical processes (Steam en Electra)
  • Familiar with GMP environment
  • Affinity with SAP
  • Good communicative skills: you are able to explain technical challenges to non-engineers
  • You are a team player!
  • Stress resistant: you are able to remain calm in challenging circumstances
