For our new Manufacturing Engineering team in Schiedam, we are searching for an experienced and driven
Lead Engineer
to develop our electrode manufacturing processes of tomorrow
Scope and Responsibilities
Identify key operational bottlenecks, develop systems for product volume and materials balance through the facility, and setup a process technology roadmap for new and existing production steps, including automation.
Design of innovative surface treatment and coating manufacturing processes, including online production quality control
Use your knowledge in product and process development projects, to anticipate on production problems in the design phase and improve the manufacturability of products
Define the Bill-of-Materials of required tooling and manufacturing processes
Identify and coordinate with contractors to execute on deployment of new manufacturing processes or significant improvements to existing process steps
Ensure on-going training to manufacturing teams and ensure maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures
Define KPIs to measure the performance of new manufacturing processes and improvements to existing
Build and manage multifunctional project teams to execute on implementation of new and improved production processes
Profile
Profound knowledge of, and experience with coating application technologies, specifically on thin layer technologies, galvanic coating technology, and surface treatment processes
Has a relevant network in the galvanic, coating and/or semiconductor industry
Track record in implementing new, automated manufacturing processes, e.g. replacing traditionally manual processes
Takes actively part in discussions and is a team player with the ability to persuade and drive the decision-making process.
Works closely together with Technology & Innovation, Operations, Product Management and Business Development. Builds strong collaborative relationships.
Motivated to learn, and train others. Works on continuous improvement, challenges the status-quo and drives change. Is open to change his/her own view.

Minimum requirements
Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical, Process or Industrial Engineering, combined with knowledge of chemical processes and coatings
Experience in scaling up and automation of processes
Demonstrable experience in process, industrial or manufacturing engineering
Fluent in English, written and oral, Dutch is a plus.
Experienced and familiar with P&I diagrams
Experience with introducing LEAN principles in manufacturing processes is a plus
